EOC Configuration Wizard crashes with a web.config error

Overview

Installing EOC on the server and getting the following error when the Configuration Wizard crashes:

Unhanded exception has occurred in a component in  your application . 

EOC\Website\Web.config Error: Cannot read configuration file 

 

When trying to create a new website, the following error appears:

Exception occurred when validating of settings. Please see the log file for more details.

Cause 

The Configuration Wizard is showing the following error:

There was a previously installed EOC website still pointing into the incorrect directory . 

Resolution

 

  1. Open the IIS . 
  2. Delete the old EOC website.
  3. Rerun the Configuration Wizard.
