Engineer’s Toolset provides free SSH File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) and Server Control Point (SCP) Servers which allow integration of SFTP and SCP protocols with core Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) Server technology so users can securely upload and download executable images and configurations for routers and switches without difficulty.

Only TCP port 22 is expected to open when using SFTP/SCP server, but port 27042 activates as well.

SolarWinds SFTP/SCP Server has 2 components:

  • ScpServerTray
  • SolarWindsSftpServer

In essence, SFTP and SCP server trays communicate through TCP port 27042.
