Overview

This article provides brief information and a resolution to the following error while generating TCP traffic in WAN Killer.

Connection is forcefully rejected

Environment

All Engineer's Toolset versions

Cause 

The error is due to security issues.

Resolution

  1. Install Simple TCP/IP services.
    Note: By default, Windows does not have this installed and you can install it from Add/Remove Windows Components.
  2. Configure the switch/router to accept the traffic using the following command:
    service tcp-small-servers
