Overview

By default, ETS stores log files to the C:\Temp directory. This could cause issues with disk space on the drive. This article explains how to turn off Toolset logging.

Environment

All ETS versions

Steps

  1. Stop all the SolarWinds services.
  2. On the Orion server, open: C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Toolset\SolarWinds.Toolset.BusinessLayer.dll.config in Notepad.
  3. Find the following section:
    <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Off,ActivityTracing" propagateActivity="true">
    and change it to:
    <source name="System.ServiceModel" switchValue="Off">
  4. Delete the Toolset_BusinessLayerPlugin_tracelog.svclog logs.
  5. Restart the SolarWinds services.
