Overview

This article provides steps to move Toolset's Network Performance Monitor database from one system to another.

Environment

  • All ETS versions 
  • All Windows versions

Steps

Note: This article assumes that Toolset is already installed on the new system.

 

On the OLD system:

1. Close NPM.

2. Copy the database.

  • If the Toolset NPM database is on Windows XP/2003 or previous, copy it from the following location:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Solarwinds\Toolset\SWNetPerfMon.cfg

 

  • If the Toolset NPM database is on Windows 7/2008 or later, copy it from the following location:

C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\toolset\swnetperfmon.cfg

 

On the NEW system:

3. Close NPM.

4. Rename the following file to *.old:

C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\toolset\swnetperfmon.cfg

5. Save the database file from the old system to the new system, within the following location:

C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\toolset\swnetperfmon.cfg

6. Reopen NPM.

 

All Nodes and statistics are now within the new Toolset NPM installation.
