These release notes provide additional guidance for SolarWinds Engineer's Toolset v11.0.1 Service Release.

You MUST upgrade your SolarWinds Orion products to their latest versions before upgrading to Toolset v11.0.1.
Toolset requires at least Orion Platform 2014.2.1—found in NPM v11 released in July 2014 and in all subsequent SolarWinds Orion product releases.

Fixed Issues

Toolset on Web now supports running the tools in an HTTPS environment. Previously, some tools did not work correctly when running Orion in SSL mode. 640355, 663796, 647114, 656399

The Switchport Mapper is now compatible with Cisco 3650 switches. 627205
The Real Time Interface Monitor now correctly shows the same values in the chart and the table views. 626443

Open Issues

IP Network Browser tool doesn't open after upgrading to 11.0.1.
Follow the workaround instructions in the Microsoft Support article "You may receive an "Error code 80080005 -- server execution failed." error message when you start many COM+ applications".

Web Tools don't work if the SQL Server instance running the SolarWinds database is using MSSQL 2012 with the case-sensitive collation setting SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CS_AS. -
Desktop Engineer's Toolset v11.0 installation fails on Windows Vista 32- and 64-bit.
Install .NET 3.5 manually prior to installing Engineer's Toolset.
