Overview

This article describes the issue where ETS Config Tools throws errors on recently set up systems with servers and work stations. This issue appears when the ports of UDP 69 for TFTP have not been configured.

Environment

  • All versions of ETS
  • All versions of Windows

Cause

This error occurs due to Windows firewall exceptions that do no allow port UDP 69 to be open for TFTP file transfer.

Resolution

  1. Open up TFTP UDP port 69.
  2. Allow the configurations to be downloaded via this method.
