The number of monitored instances exceeds the supported maximum for a single instance of DPA

Table of contents

This article applies to DPA version 9.0 and above and Ignite version 7.0 and above.

Introduction

DPA sends a warning if you monitor more than 250 instances on a single DPA server. If your server is capable of handling more than 250 instances, you can suppress this warning message.

Raising the Warning Limit

To get past the 250 instance warning, do the following:

- Log on to the DPA server.

- Edit the system.properties files (in {install directory}/Ignite PI<ignitehome>/iwc/tomcat/ignite_config/idc directory).

- Add the following line:

com.confio.idc.level.four.max.databases=300

- Replace 300 with the number of instances you want. You might not want to go higher than 300 for now so this will remind you to send in your logs again when bumping it up again.

- Restart the Ignite PI service for the changes to take affect.</ignitehome>
