Resources are not displayed in the Web Console when attempting to add MySQL Instance

When attempting to add a MySQL Instance for monitoring, the page does not display any resource like in the following image:

DPA v10.0.x

This is caused by a bug where DPA is attempting to make a call to an Amazon cloud address to test if it is running in the cloud. Typically, this call would return null. However, a Firewall or some other application returns an unexpected page.

  • Upgrade DPA to version 10.1 or later.
  • Alternative Workaround for DPA 10.0.x
  1. Go to: <DPA_DIR>\iwc\tomcat\webapps\iwc\WEB-INF\classes\resources\database\MySQL\.
  2. Create a copy of the createMonUser.sql file and place it on your desktop (Do not leave the copy in the installation directory).
  3. Edit the createMonUser.sql file.
  4. Change all occurrences of <IP> to <IPx>.
  5. Save the file.
  6. Start the Wizard and attempt to register a MySQL Instance.
