Specify the Java installation to use with DPA

Table of contents

This article explains how to configure DPA to use a Java JRE or JDK that is already installed on the DPA server.

DPA installs a specific JRE version on Windows, so this article only applies to UNIX or Linux installations.

Steps

  1. Determine the location of the Java file that you want DPA to use.
  2. Open this file:
    /iwc/tomcat/ignite_config/java_loc.txt

The file should contain one line with the full path and file name of the Java file.  For example:

    /home/java/jdk160_03/bin/java
  3. Update the path to point to the new Java file, and save the file.
  4. Restart DPA by running these commands:
    \shutdown.sh
    \startup.sh
