Specify the Java installation that DPA uses (Linux)

Table of contents

By default, DPA ships with and uses a version of OpenJDK. However, you can choose to use a different supported Java installation. (See the system requirements for your DPA version for the currently supported Java version.)

This article provides instructions for using a different Java installation when DPA is installed on a Windows server. If DPA is installed on a Linux server, see Specify the Java installation that DPA uses (Windows).

Steps

  1. Determine the location of the Java file that you want DPA to use.
  2. Open this file:
    /iwc/tomcat/ignite_config/java_loc.txt

The file should contain one line with the full path and file name of the Java file.  For example:

    /home/java/jdk160_03/bin/java
  3. Update the path to point to the new Java file, and save the file.
  4. Restart DPA by running these commands:
    \shutdown.sh
    \startup.sh
