Sharing DPA's query performance analysis with others

Overview

The Query Detail page displays the results of DPA's query performance analysis. DPA users often want to share this analysis with people in other groups. The information can help them tune SQL statements, reallocate resources, or make other changes to improve performance and reduce wait times.

Environment

  • DPA 12.0 and later

Steps

You can use any of the following methods to share information from the Query Details page with other people:

  • Save the page as a PDF file and email the PDF file to them. (See the following sections for details.)
  • If the recipients have access to DPA, email the URL to them.
  • Take a screenshot of the relevant portion of the page and email it to them.

Save the page as a PDF file in Chrome

In Chrome, the option to save a Web page as a PDF file is always available.

  1. Press Ctrl+P to open the browser's Print dialog box.
  2. Under Destination, click Change.
  3. Select Save as PDF.
  4. Optionally, change the Layout or other options.
  5. Click Save.
  6. In the Save As dialog box, select the file location, enter the file name, and click Save.

Save the page as a PDF file in Internet Explorer

If a PDF printer driver is installed on your computer, you can save a Web page as a PDF file in Internet Explorer. 

  1. Press Ctrl+P to open the browser's Print dialog box.
  2. Under Select Printer, select your PDF printer driver (for example, Adobe PDF or CutePDF Writer).
    Note: If no PDF printer driver is listed, you can either:
  3. Optionally, click Preferences to change the Layout or other options.
  4. Click Save.
  5. In the Save PDF File As dialog box, select the file location, enter the file name, and click Save.

Save the page as a PDF file in Firefox

If a PDF printer driver is installed on your computer, you can save a Web page as a PDF file in Firefox. 

  1. Press Ctrl+P to open the browser's Print dialog box.
  2. In the Name drop-down menu, select your PDF printer driver (for example, Adobe PDF or CutePDF Writer).
    Note: If no PDF printer driver is listed, you can either:
  3. Optionally, click Properties to change the Layout or other options.
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the Save PDF File As dialog box, select the file location, enter the file name, and click Save.
