This article describes the issue when you upgrade DPA version 10.0 to DPA 10.1 and receives the following error:

Error cleaning Ignite PI Java directory.



  • DPA version 10.0 
  • All versions of Windows


This issue occurs due to having an older version of DPA installed (version 9.2 and earlier). Exact issue is unconfirmed but based on failed installations, the wizard displays a box saying that the server will need to be rebooted after install on two different occasions which is synonymous with the message with upgrading 9.2 and older versions.


Uninstall versions prior to 10.0 and re-run installer.
