There is a known issue in the license page in activation of DPA. DPA keys are multi-activation and as such there maybe a key that is valid for 10 monitored instances. The keys can be activates as a specified amount and later activated for the remainder on the same DPA installation or another installation.
This article is to explain an issue where a customer might try to activate a key for the same amount as was previously activated on a server and get an error that "The license activate did not fail, however there was no change in the specified amount of licenses".
There is an issue in the licensing of DPA if the same key is activated for the same amount on the same install of DPA.
Example Customer has a key in the customer portal that is of value 4268-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
This key is for 10 monitored instances. This key is activated for 5 instances used for some time and later the key is attempted to be activated for the remaining 5. either by selecting "all available" or selecting "specify amount" during an online activation.
The error above is displayed and the license amount allowed in the product does not change.
