DPA installation error: Can't delete file

Overview

The DPA Installation is failing with the following error:
Can’t delete C:\Program Files (x86)\Confio\Ignite PI\iwc\jre folder

Environment

All Windows versions of DPA

Cause 

There are files in the directory that are being locked by other processes.

Resolution

  1. Use a Third-Party tool to determine what process is locking the files or directories.
  2. Stop the processes using the files in this directory.
  3. Re-run the Installer to complete your upgrade.
