You can configure DPA alerts to send SNMPv2c traps to an SNMP-enabled Network Management System (NMS) when an alert level is reached. The trap contains the name of the monitored database, alert name, alert level, and response instructions.

Create an SNMP contact

The NMS that will receive the trap is represented as an SNMP contact in DPA.

  1. Click Options > Administration > Contact and Contact Groups.
  2. Click Create SNMP Contact.
  3. Enter the required information, and click Save.

The SNMP is now available as a notification group or contact.
