Creating a database monitoring blackout period

Overview

This article is on configuring and scheduling DPA Monitor Blackout Periods.  A monitor blackout period is a specific time frame in which you do not want DPA to monitor a database instance. Use monitor blackout periods for scheduled downtime such as service maintenance and change management. 

Environment

  • All versions of DPA

Steps

 

  1. In DPA, click Options.
  2. Under Database Instances, click Monitor Blackout Periods.
  3. Select a database instance.
  4. Select the Stop and Start Monitoring days and times, and click Add New Blackout Period.
