Overview

This article overviews how to implement alert blackouts in your DPA environment.

Detail

  • An alert blackout defines a time range, where an alert (or multiple alerts) for a specific monitored instance will not be ran.
  • To configure alert blackouts, click the Alerts button on the top of the DPA console. Then click the Alert Blackouts tab.
  • From here, you can choose to create a blackout for a Single Alert, a Monitored DB Instance, or an Alert Group
    • After clicking the Add Blackout button, you will be prompted to select one or multiple Alerts/DB instances (depending on what object type you are creating the blackout for).
    • You will also be prompted to choose how long the Alert Blackout should be in place for.
