Unable to complete a simple file transfer (SFT) with Dameware Mini Remote Control on a Windows 10 computer

Overview

A known issue prevents the SFT shell menu from displaying on the right-click context menu of Dameware Mini Remote Control installed on Windows 10 computers. Use the workaround described in this article to transfer files. 

Environment

All versions of Dameware MRC installed on Windows 10 computers.

Cause 

This is a known issue, when using Dameware MRC on a Windows 10 computer.

Resolution

Drag and drop a file to the remote machine. After this action, the right-click menu option becomes available on the local machine running Dameware MRC.

As another workaround, if the menu is visible on the remote computer, use that option to copy the file from the remote computer to the local computer. After this action, the right-click menu option becomes available on the local machine running Dameware MRC.
