Remove the DameWare Smart Card driver

Overview

This article provides steps to remove the smart card driver when the option has been removed from the target machine. 

Environment

  • All DameWare Remote Support versions
  • All DameWare Mini Remote Control versions

Steps

You can completely remove the DameWare Smart Card Driver by uninstalling it using Device Manager.

  1. Open the Device Manager.
  2. Expand Virtual Smart Card Drivers.
  3. Select the DameWare Smart Card Driver.
  4. Select the Uninstall option from the Action Menu, Toolbar or Context menu.

Note: You may need to restart the remote computer before the driver is completely removed.
