How to configure the MRC agent for future DameWare MRC installations

Updated January 11, 2019

This article describes how to configure specific Dameware Mini Remote Control (MRC) agent settings that apply to future on-the-fly installations.

  • DameWare MRC v12.x

The following steps describe how to customize the MRC Agent settings before the agent is installed on a target machine using the MRC application.

These settings are different from the MRC Agent MSI Builder, and will not impact the agent builder.

  1. Open Dameware MRC as an administrator.
  2. Click View open your default host properties.
  3. Click the Install Options tab.
  4. Verify that Include Configuration File (DWRCS.reg) is enabled.
  5. Click Configure.
The MRC agent properties window displays. This is the same window that displays when you edit the settings of the MRC agent on the remote target machine.
  6. Enter your changes and click Save.
Your changes now apply to future Dameware MRC agent installations when installed through the Dameware MRC application.
