Error displays when installing the Dameware MRC agent

When you install the Dameware Mini Remote Control (MRC) agent, the following error displays: 

Unable to start Service
System Error: 2
System Message:
The system cannot find the file specified

This error usually occurs when you install the agent using Dameware MRC on-demand.


  • Dameware Mini Remote Control version 12.x.x to 12.1.0


User account privilege issue when installing the agent. Either the remote user has no admin rights or is not a member of any administrator group.
