Dameware Remote Support and Mini Remote Control version 9.0.1 Hotfix 2 (Delay at startup)

Fixed issues

This hotfix corrects an issue that causes a significant delay when starting DameWare Mini Remote Control or DameWare Remote support.

This hotfix requires DameWare version 9.0.1 and can be applied to both 32-bit and 64-bit installations.


  • DameWare Remote Support - Version(s) Version 9.0.1
  • DameWare Mini Remote Control - Version(s) Version 9.0.1


  1. Download the hotfix from the Customer Portal. 
    1. Access the Customer Portal.
    2. Click Download Product.
    3. Click the Product drop-down menu and search for Dameware.
    4. Under Additional Downloads, click Archived Hot Fixes.
    5. Download DameWare Mini Remote Control v9.0.x - Hot Fix 2 to the server hosting Dameware.
  2. Stop the Dameware application.
  3. Navigate to your Dameware installation folder located at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\DameWare Remote Support 9.0
  4. Back up the following files to a separate location:
    • DNTU.exe.config
    • DWExporter.exe.config
    • DWRCC.exe.config
  5. Extract the contents of the ZIP file.
  6. Copy and paste the files included with the hotffix into your Dameware installation folder, overwriting the existing files.
  7. Restart the Dameware application.
