Dameware Mini Remote Control displays the Enter Network Password prompt

Overview

When you log in to Dameware Mini Remote Control, the application prompts you to enter a network password.

Cause

The Dameware agent may not be installed. To install the agent, the Mini Remote user should be a member of any administrator group, but there are some cases that the user account is not recognized by the system. 

Steps

Run Mini Remote Control with an elevated user account (such as a Domain Administrator account).

  1. Press Shift + right-click and select Run as a different user.

  2. Enter the user account with elevated privileges.
  3. Select the remote machine and then choose Windows NT Challenge/Response, as shown below.6o3o2R9 - Imgur.png
