DameWare license was activated successfully but the Expired License message is still displayed

Overview

Normally, when you activate the license of DameWare product, it should work for any user. However, in some cases, the activation is successful, but when you open DameWare, it shows that the license is expired. If you run it as an admin, DameWare shows that the license is activated. This is usually due to the machine environment (such as UAC) or user permissions.

  • Windows 10 1709
  • DameWare Mini Remote Control version 12.0.5

Resolution

  1. Right-click the Mini Remote icon and choose Properties.

  2. Go to the Compatibility tab and click Change settings for all users.

  3. Check “Run this program as an administrator” and click OK to continue.
