DameWare Exporter - Error 53 - The network path was not found

Overview

When running DameWare Exporter, a "System Error 53 - The network path was not found" error displays in both the Last Error column in the Computer List pane and the Information pane for specific machines in the network.

 

Environment

  • DameWare Exporter - All versions

 

Cause 

The Remote Registry Service in the target machines is not running.

 

Resolution

  1. In the target affected machine, go to services.msc and locate the Remote Registry Service.
  2. Enable the service and set to Automatic.
  3. Alternatively, you can use DRS to do a batch enable and set to Automatic for all machines in the network.
