Android mobile application error: Fatal signal 16 (SIGSTKFLT)

Overview

The following error appears when connecting to a host with the Android mobile application:

Fatal signal 16 (SIGSTKFLT at 0x000012ee (code=-6), thread 4850 (GC)

Environment

  • DameWare Remote Support 10.0 and later
  • DameWare Mini Remote Control 10.0 and later

Cause

This is a known issue that occurs when the Android device has poor network connectivity.

Resolution

Use a reliable network connection when connecting to a host.
