Connect to a computer using Dameware Remote Support

This topic applies to:

  • Remote Support, centralized mode
  • Remote Support, stand-alone and evaluation modes

Before you begin, ensure that you have the host name or IP address of the computer want to connect to.

  1. Launch the Dameware Remote Support application.
  2. To connect to the Central Server, select Windows authentication or Dameware authentication, and click Connect to Server.

    If you are running Remote Support in stand-alone or evaluation mode, the connect to Dameware Central Server dialog box does not display.


  3. If have you hosts in the Global Host List, select a host that you want to connect to.


  4. If you are using Remote Support in stand-alone or evaluation mode, or if the user is not listed in the Global Host List:
    1. Click Go To.


    2. On the GoTo dialog box, enter the IP address or host name of the computer you want to connect to, and click OK.
