Configuring Blocked Connection

The DameWare Server stores information about deleted remote hosts in the database. The information stays in the DameWare database for 30 days. If necessary, you may restore them manually.

To change this parameter, open the DameWare.Server.Service.exe.config file in the installation folder, and edit the property specifying the clearing interval for deleted hosts.

<add key="DeleteRemoteHostsPermanentlyAfterDays" value="30"/>

For example, change from value="30" to value="60".

Configuring Inactive Connection

If a remote host is inactive for 90 days, it will be automatically removed from the DameWare Server. The remote host then stays in the DameWare database for 30 days before permanent deletion.

To change inactivity interval, open the DameWare.Server.Service.exe.config file in the installation folder, and edit following property:

<add key="HideInactiveRemoteHostsAfterDays" value="90"/>

For example, change from value="90" to value="120".

To turn off automatic removal or clearing the DameWare database, set the value to "0".
