Overview

Hotfix 2 corrects an issue where there is a significant delay when starting DameWare Mini Remote Control or DameWare Remote support.

Download Hotfix 1 from the SolarWinds Customer Portal.

This hotfix requires DameWare version 9.0.1 and can be applied to both 32-bit and 64-bit installations.

  • DameWare Remote Support - Version(s) Version 9.0.1
  • DameWare Mini Remote Control - Version(s) Version 9.0.1

Detail

Hotfix 1 modifies the following files on the DameWare installation:

To install this hotfix on DameWare Remote Support and Mini Remorte Control:

  • DNTU.exe.config
  • DWExporter.exe.config
  • DWRCC.exe.config
    1. Stop the DameWare application.
    2. Backup the modified files.
    3. Extract the contents of the .ZIP file.
    4. Copy and paste the files into your DameWare installation folder, generally located at C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\DameWare Remote Support 9.0
    5. Restart the application.
