The Virtual CD/Floppy dialog under Intel AMT in the Remote Support network browser allows you to mount CD, DVD, or floppy images or physical disks on remote systems enabled with Intel AMT. When you execute this task, Remote Support attempts to mount the drive you select. After you have selected a drive or image file, use the following radio buttons to specify what you want to do, and then click Mount.

  • No change

    Mounts the image or drive on the remote system but does not boot from the image or drive

  • Boot from ISO

    Attempts to boot from the selected CD or DVD image or drive when the computer reboots

  • Boot from IMG

    Attempts to boot from the selected floppy image file or drive when the computer reboots

You cannot power off a remote system using the Intel AMT Power Management dialog while a remote drive is active.
