Changing the permission required option in DameWare Mini Remote Control

Overview

When logging into remote sessions, some DameWare Mini Remote Control (MRC) users want the system to default to permission required from the end user.

Environment

  • MRC v 10, 11 and 12

Steps

  1. In the Start window, type regedit to open the Registry Editor.
  2. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > DameWare Development > Agent Configuration > Mini Remote Control Service > Settings > Permission required
  3. Change this setting from "0" to "1".
