This article provides steps on how to change the timeout interval between DRS, MRC and the Central Server. The default communication timeout interval is 1 minute.

  • DameWare Remote Support version 11.0 and later
  • DameWare Mini Remote Control version 11.0 and later

To change this interval, you must make changes to the registry on the Central Server.

  1. Press the Windows key + R and enter regedit.
  2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dameware Development\.
  3. Create a new folder, and name it Shared.
  4. Inside the Shared folder, create a new DWORD key, and name it CentralServerTimeoutSecs.
  5. Enter the new timeout value in seconds.

The final registry path should look like the following:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Dameware Development\Shared\CentralServerTimeoutSecs
