Overview

Customer Opens case with

When I want to use DamewWare remote connect to AMT V-Pro configured station with use of Intel AMT KVM, I received an error: Intel AMT device was not found at the address "FQDN of the computer"

Environment

  • Dameware MRC

Cause

Bug In product  [DW-426] ,when TLS is used when making a connection to Intel AMT server.

It is not possible to establish a connection to Intel AMT KVM server by using TLS.

Can't establish Intel AMT connection with TLS via MRC

https://jira.solarwinds.com/browse/DW-426

Resolution

  1. Work around

The only workaround for now is create a connection without TLS encryption (must be supported by Intel AMT server).

Note ,

We are seeing cases were the customer disables TLS and still cannot make a connection.
