Overview

This article provides steps to obtain your Login Credentials for the Customer Portal.

Steps

Note: If you have received an email advising your order has been processed and/or have received a copy of your invoice, but have not received login credentials to access the Customer Portal:

  • You should have received an email entitled "User Profile Creation for SolarWinds Customer Portal" on the same date the order was processed.  This email contains a hyperlink and some email exchanges strip the email or it gets caught in the Junk or Spam filters.  Please check junk/spam for the email.
  • If you cannot locate the email, please contact SolarWinds Customer Service and provide your Customer ID (if known), order number or invoice number.  This will help us locate your account more efficiently.

 

If you have received an email advising your order has been processed and/or have received a copy of your invoice, and you attempt to register via the Customer Portal but you have received the following error:

The combination of Email: <email address> and SWID: <SWID> is already used for other registration

 This could mean by any of the following:

  • An Individual User Profile has already been created for your email address and is awaiting your activation .  You should have received an email entitled "User Profile Creation for Solarwinds Customer Portal" on the same date the order was processed.  This email contains a hyperlink and some email exchanges strip the email or it gets caught in the Junk or Spam filters.  Please check junk/spam for the email.  If you cannot locate the email, please contact Solarwinds Customer Service and provide your Customer ID (if known), order number or invoice number.  This will help us locate your account more efficiently.
  • You have already activated your Individual User Profile and are linked to that SW ID already.

You can go to https://customerportal.solarwinds.com, enter your email address and the password you created.  If you have forgotten your password, click on "I forgot my password" and a temporary password will be sent to you.

 

If you have received an email advising your order has been processed and/or have received a copy of your invoice, and the email advises you to "login to the Solarwinds Customer Portal with your credentials".

  • This means that your Individual User Profile is already linked to that SWID.  Go to You can go to https://customerportal.solarwinds.com, enter your email address and the password you created.  If you have forgotten your password, click on "I forgot my password" and a temporary password will be sent to you.
