Overview

This article explains how to update the expiry date of your license once a maintenance renewal has been processed.

Note:These steps will NOT work with the following products as SolarWinds License Manager is not compatible with these licenses:

  • Kiwi Log Viewer
  • Older versions of ipMonitor
  • DPA
  • SRM/STM
  • VMAN
  • LEM
  • Serv-U
  • WHD v12.1 and earlier

Steps

  1. Log in to the SolarWinds Customer Portal and verify that the unregistered Activation Key appears on the License Management page.

  2. If the page indicates an Expired maintenance message, perform the following:

    1. Run SolarWinds License Manager.
Note: Verify that you are running the latest version or License Manager. Refer to SolarWinds License Manager for the download link.

    2. Select the license that needs to be updated.

    3. Click Synchronize. A Synchronization Complete message should appear when done.

      Notes:
If any license does not synchronize, follow the prompts to input the activation license from the Customer Portal after clicking the Activate / Upgrade button on License Manager and restart the installation.
If the issue persists, contact SolarWinds Customer Service.
