Overview

This article provides brief information when Scheduled DB maintenance does not start.

Notes:

  • DB Maintenance that runs nightly at 2:15 am by default is kicked off by the Core BL.

  • But logs showed Core BL could not be started fully.

  • Core BL Error starting:

    2016-04-20 15:42:43,855 [8] FATAL SolarWinds.Orion.Core.BusinessLayer.CoreBusinessLayerPlugin - Unhandled Exception caught in plugin startup.

    System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: The format of the URI could not be determined.

Environment

NPM version 10.7

Cause

The issue is caused by several entries in the report jobs table where the website ID is 0.

Resolution

1. Note down the ID of current Orion Web Server. (ID =1 in this example).

2. Select * from websites.

3. Run the following query:

Update ReportJobs
Set WebsiteID='1'
Where WebsiteID='0'

4. Restart all services.
