Overview

This article describes how to remove multiple interfaces using a script to reference the tables used by DB maintenance.

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\DatabaseMaintenance
  2. Open the InterfacesTableHandlers.handler file.
  3. Locate the following or similar:
    TableName="Interfaces"
    TableElementType=""
    RemoveOrphanedDataProc="dbm_Interfaces_DeleteOrphans"
    RemoveStaleDataProc=""
  4. Take note of the tables and locate the interfaces tied to the removed nodes.
  5. Create a script to remove the nodes and orphaned data.
