Environment

NPM version 11.x

Cause 

This issue occurs when there are incompatible objects running against the Orion Platform Module such as the following:
Send SNMP Trap (SnmpTrap-Netcool-Resolution) to123.123.123.123- Action uses an unsupported hashing method. Please change it in Advanced Alert Manager. - 
Send SNMP Trap (SnmpTrap-Netcool-Problem) to123.123.123.123- Action uses an unsupported hashing method. Please change it in Advanced Alert Manager. - 
Send SNMP Trap (SnmpTrap-Netcool-Problem) to vasumon004d - Action uses an unsupported hashing method. 

Resolution

  1. Go to the Advanced Alert Manager.
  2. Edit the actual alert to remove the unsupported hashing method.
