Editing NCM jobs throws Cirrus Settings Decrypt Data Failed

This articles goes over when editing jobs that have SMTP notification settings, it throws the error: 

Cirrus Settings Decrypt Data Failed 



All versions of NCM



The cause is when the NCM SMTP Server Settings contains invalid Email Server Address and Authentication credentials.



  1. Go to Settings > NCM Settings > SMTP Server Settings.
  2. Review the information and make sure it contains the proper Server Address and if it has Authentication such as TLS/SSL, enter in the correct credentials.
  3. Recreate any job that contains the Email Notification as these are corrupted with the incorrect Authentication that cannot be decrypted.
