Overview

Failover Engine shuts down due to a License store exception error. The log shows an error similar to the following:

2016-06-22 14:34:47,654 [1] ERROR SolarWinds.Licensing.Framework.Diagnostic.Logger - License store exception

SolarWinds.Licensing.Framework.Store.LicenseStoreException: Exception of type 'SolarWinds.Licensing.Framework.Store.LicenseStoreException' was thrown.

at SolarWinds.Licensing.Framework.Store.LicenseStore.RetrieveLicenses()

Environment

All FoE versions

Cause 

There is an incorrect volume ID on an FoE node where it occurs, usually on the secondary server, as a result of replacing disk or modifying volume.

Resolution

Manually correct the volume ID using any available tools.
