Exporting nDepth Results in Custom or Text Formats for Retention and Ad Hoc Reporting

Export nDepth search results in CSV and PDF formats for recordkeeping, printing, and sharing purposes. Customize the format of PDF exports and save custom formats for future use.

Export nDepth search results in CSV format

Note: You can only export the text results in CSV format. To export charts and graphs as well, see the procedure for exporting in PDF format below.

  1. Open your LEM Console and log in to your LEM Manager as an auditor or administrator.
  2. Click the Explore tab, and then click nDepth.
  3. Examine the results to see all alerts within the last ten minutes.
  4. Modify the search to extend the time frame or use the Refine Fields pane on the left to refine your search parameters.
  5. Click Search to retrieve your new results.
  6. Click the Result Details thumbnail at the bottom of the nDepth view.
  7. Click the gear icon on the Result Details title bar, and then click Export to CSV.
  8. Save the file in an appropriate location.

Export nDepth search results in PDF format

  1. Open your LEM Console and log in to your LEM Manager as an auditor or administrator.
  2. Click the Explore tab, and then click nDepth.
  3. Examine the results to see all alerts within the last ten minutes.
  4. Modify the search to extend the time frame or use the Refine Fields pane on the left to refine your search parameters.
  5. Click Search to retrieve your new results.
  6. Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the nDepth view, and then click Export.
  7. Modify the report layout to suit your preferences.
  8. Click Export to PDF and save the file in an appropriate location.

Customize the layout of PDF exports in nDepth

Note: Page elements include charts, graphics, and text items.

Note: The Save Layout option saves your layout changes to whatever saved layout you started by modifying. In most cases, this is the default All Default Charts layout.

  1. Complete Steps 1 through 6 in To export nDepth search results in PDF format:.
  2. Replace nDepth Export Report Title with a custom title to change the report title on every page of the PDF export.
  3. Point at pages, thumbnails, and page elements to expose the following options, as available:
    • Minus (-) button: Clear all page contents
    • X button: Delete a page, graphic, or text item
    • Text field: Add or modify text
  4. Click the Add Page After Current Page icon in the bottom left corner of the Preview window to add a blank page to your custom layout.
  5. Drag and drop page thumbnails to change the order of the current pages in your custom layout.
    Note: The Result Details page, which is page 7 by default, cannot be moved.
  6. Click the Items tab on the left to alternately show and hide its components.
  7. Click Text Items, Other Visualizations, and so on to expand the components under those headings.
  8. Drag and drop components into the desired position in the main preview area.
    Note: Some components, such as Result Details, are limited to where they can be dropped.
  9. If you want to change a page's orientation, click the Toggle this page's orientation icon on the bottom right of the page's thumbnail.
  10. If you want to change the orientation or all the pages, click the Toggle all pages' orientation icon in the bottom left corner of the Preview window.
    • Click the Saved Layouts tab on the right to alternately show and hide its options.
    • Click a saved layout to apply it to the current preview.
    • Point at a saved layout to expose its Delete button.
    • Click the gear icon to expose options such as Create New Layout, Save Layout, and Save Layout As.
  11. If you are finished customizing your layout, click Saved Layouts, click the gear icon, and then click Save Layout As.
  12. Enter a name for your new layout, and then click OK.

After the report layout is customized, complete exporting in PDF format to export a report using your new layout.
