Overview

Virtualization Manager v5.0.1 HotFix 1 fixes an issue where performance jobs take a long time to complete and the browser becomes unresponsive.

Environment

VMan 5.0.1

Cause

Analytic-services-5.0.1.jar file should be replaced on Virtualization Manager master appliance with the analytic-services-5.0.1-bd-1.jar.

Resolution

  1. SSH to Virtualization Manager master appliance and save copy of original analytic-services-5.0.1-bd-1.jar
    $ ssh hyper9@<appliance-name-or-ip>
    $ sudo mv /usr/share/tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/swvm/WEB-INF/lib/analytic-services-5.0.1.jar /usr/share/tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/swvm/WEB-INF/lib/analytic-services-5.0.1.jar.ORIG
  2. Copy analytic-services-5.0.1-bd-1.jar to master appliance.
    $ scp analytic-services-5.0.1-bd-1.jar hyper9@<appliance-name-or-ip>:/usr/share/tomcat-6.0.29/webapps/swvm/WEB-INF/lib
  3. Restart the Virtualization Manager service.
