Orion NPM reports incorrect datastore volume sizes for ESX hosts

Issue:

Orion NPM 10.6.1 reports incorrect datastore volume sizes for the ESX servers.

Cause:

This is a known issue with earlier versions of net-snmp agents (earlier than v5.7.1) if the drive size is large. VMware reports it as a bug.

Resolution:

Upgrade net-snmp agents to a later version (v5.7.1 and later). Net-snmp is an open source agent used on Linux machines and ESX hosts. The later releases of the SNMP agent help to poll these volumes correctly.

Applies to Version: NPM 10.6.1, IVIM 1.9 and ESX 5.
