Create a custom view to show node owner information

Overview

This article describes how to create a custom view to show the node owner information on the Orion Web Console.

Environment

All NPM versions

Steps

  1. Click Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Orion Web Console.
  2. Click Customize Page on the Home tab.
  3. Click Add New Resource to add a new resource.
  4. Choose Custom Query from the list of available resources, and then click Add Selected Resources. The Custom Query resource will be added to the Summary page.
  5. Edit the newly added resource and paste the following code:   
    SELECT
    Caption,IP_Address,City,Comments,Department
    FROM Orion.NodesCustomProperties C
    RIGHT JOIN Orion.Nodes N ON N.NodeID = C.NodeID
    ORDER BY Caption
  6. Click Submit and verify if the newly added resource displays the custom properties such as city, comments and department.
