Netflow Sources chart tree expansion generates error

This article describes an issue where Netflow Sources Chart for expanding any Netflow source returns an error: Unauthorized




NTA version 4+



This occurs due to permissions issue caused by limitations or third-party software for secure login. 


Resolution 1:

1. Open Database Manager. 

2. Query the Accounts table. 

3. Find the account, validate columns for Limitation, and set to 0. 

4. Query Views table.

5. Check the column for LimitationID and set to 0. 


Resolution 2:

  • If any type of secure login software is being used to integrate with Solarwinds, turn this off. 
  • Test with local Orion Admin account
