Data between resources and reports does not match for relative time period

When displaying the report and corresponding resource data for the Last XX hours, the data may be slightly different between them.



  • NTA, all versions



This occurs because resources are not using actual time, but are shifted a few minutes to the past. This is because area charts would otherwise display inconsistent data for first minute or two. Reports are using actual time without any shifting.



To validate that reports are showing correct data, use a 'custom time period'. In this case the time is not moved in resources so both should show the same amount of data.
