This is a brief article on how to rename custom reports for Windows 7 and later.

Windows 7 and later versions do not contain file properties in the Summary tab that enables users to rename reports.

  • All LEM versions
  • All LEM Reports Console versions
  • Windows 7 and later

Note: You must have a file property editor installed on your machine.

  1. Go to the custom report file location. The default location is C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds Log and Event Manager Reports\CustomReports.
  2. Right-click the custom report file and select Properties.
  3. Clear the Read-only Attribute check box.
  4. Open your file property editor, and access the Document Summary section.
  5. Select Change File Attributes.

You should now be able to edit the name of your report.
