This article addresses the issue where DELETEPENDING FILES cannot be removed from C:\Programdata\solarwinds\logs\orion using a local administrator account.

All Orion Core versions

  1. Open Log Adjuster.
  2. Verify that it is not set to DEBUG. Otherwise, select Default Settings.
  3. Click Apply.
Note: If Log Adjuster is set to DEBUG, logs will fill up the C: drive and cause the Orion server to go down.
  4. Run the command prompt as an administrator.
  5. Type the following command:
    cd programdata\solarwinds\logs\Orion
  6. Remove the read-only attribute and system file attribute using the following command:
    Attrib –r –s <FILENAME>.log.*
  7. Delete the file using the following command:
    Del <FILENAME>.log.*
