Change the account or password used to run scheduled reports

This article details how to change the account or password used to run any previously scheduled reports.

When you schedule a report in the Reports application, a new task is created under Task Scheduler to automatically run that report. To change the account or password being used to run that scheduled report, you only need to modify that task in the Task Scheduler.

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler.
  2. Right-click and select Properties on the task for the report you want to modify.
  3. To change the account, click on the Change User or Group button. To simply update the password, just click the OK button on the Properties window and it will have you re-type the password for the indicated account.
